“We’re totally not Greece. Why are you snickering?”

Some arch humour from the Globe and Mail:

(“Quotes”, of course, is a present-tense verb.  What our dumbworm-colony friend Mr. Berman intended to write was “quotations”, which is a plural noun.  One suspects that this article is so well-constructed only because it consists mostly of other people’s words.)
