I found another Dead Frog in the beer fridge.
I’ve been a bit nonplussed since my last experience with Dead Frog — I remember having tried their beer before, and having come away much more impressed. (Of course, that beer was draught, not bottled, and I’d had a few pints of good cheer beforehand.) This time, I’m drinking their flagship brew, the slightly less expensive pale ale.
It’s a pretty hoppy pale ale, again without the long finish (or for that matter the intensity) of an IPA. It’s vaguely comparable to Flying Dog’s Classic pale ale, only — once again — not as interesting. Maybe it’s better on tap.
